SpareBox Change of Ownership

If you have received notice that SpareBox Storage has recently become the new owner of your self storage facility, you are in the right place! We look forward to providing you a simpler self storage experience and a smooth transition.

We are excited to bring our innovative approach to self storage, while offering you more options and greater flexibility. You will begin to notice some improvements over the coming months—upgrades such as paving, lighting, fencing, video surveillance, where applicable, and fully contactless capability (website and kiosk). This includes a 24-hour rental center and the ability to do all things online. You can move in, move out, make payments and more via your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer, right from the comfort of your home!

These enhancements are a part of our commitment to make self storage simple and convenient for you, while keeping our employees, our customers, and our community safe.

What You Should Know

  • You will need to create a new SpareBox online login to manage your account, even if you had one with the previous owner. You can create one using the   My Account / Register link at the top of the page.

  • We may still be in the process of migrating your account to our system. If you receive an error message when trying to create your new SpareBox account, please wait 24-48 hours and try again.

  • If you were on autopay with the previous owner, your autopay method may or may not have transferred. Please refer to your welcome letter for details. If you do not see your autopay run at your next billing date, please give us a call.

  • SpareBox requires all tenants to have insurance on the contents of their units. We offer convenient options, which can be tacked on to your monthly rent.

  • You will be eligible for automatic insurance enrollment 60 days from change of ownership. To opt out, please email your Policy Number, Insurance Carrier, and Expiration Date to   insurance@spareboxstorage.com.
